Chimpanzee Fifo was only 9 months old when she was seized from a farmer in November 2018. She arrived at the sanctuary frightened and malnourished. Fortunately, with the help of her caregivers, she recovered quite quickly and is now a determined chimp.
Although Fifo is one of the smallest toddlers, she has a strong personality! She goes her own way and loves climbing. She is also very empathetic: as soon as new babies and toddlers join the group, Fifo will comfort them, spend time with them, and reach out her arm to invite them to walk with her.
